NSW: Man dies in truck crash
A Queensland man has died in a truck crash on a narrow dirt road on the NSW north coast.
Police say the truck was heading east along Glengarrie Road, Tomewin, about 4.40pm(AEST) yesterday when the wheels on the driver's side left the road, causing the truckto roll down a steep embankment.
A spokesman says a 39-year-old man from Palm Beach, in Queensland, died in the crash.
The 43-year-old driver from Tweed Heads and a 33-year-old male passenger escaped serious injury.
Fire crews rushed to the scene to ensure the truck's cargo of gas cylinders were safe.
